95th Anniversary of Foundation of CPI Observed - Call to Strengthen Party
Communist Party of India General Secretary D. Raja urged the party members and activists to make all efforts to strengthen our party especially today when the RSS-BJP offensive has reached its most virulent form. He was addressing the Party leaders, members and activists assembled at central party headquarters on December 26, 2020 as part of the nation-wide celebration marking the 95th anniversary of the Party’s foundation.
Raja said that all the Indian Communists must be fully proud of our Party, which did play a historic role in the freedom movement and later in independent India by organizing struggles for peoples’ rights and welfare. Party national council secretaries Pallab Sengupta, Binoy Viswam, M.P., national executive member Annie Raja, national council members, party wholetimers working in Ajoy Bhavan and local Delhi Party leaders and activists were there among them present at the function.
He said our party has again to play a historic role in ousting the RSS-BJP government in order to save the country and the Constitution. He wished all the party comrades assembled revolutionary greetings and again urged one and all to devote fully and make all efforts to oust the anti-people, anti-worker, anti-farmer RSS-BJP government.
The celebration began with garlanding of the statue of Com. V.I. Lenin and Com. Ajoy Ghosh.
The party general secretary informed the comrades assembled that our red guard comrade at Ajoy Bhavan, Com. Anand Kumar Sawrankar had met with an accident while in his home state Bihar and finally succumbed to death. The General Secretary expressed Party’s and his personal condolences. Comrades assembled at the function observed a one minute silence in his memory.
