Blatant Misuse of Central Probe Agencies: CPI
The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India has issued the following statement today (on March 08, 2021):
The Modi government has been misusing the central investigating and other agencies since it came to power for settling scores with opposition leaders and activists, who disagree and oppose government’s wrong policies. The government has reduced the agencies into tools to achieve its political gains of discrediting opposition leaders by implicating them in false cases.
The latest in the political game series is the move by the customs department which has filed an affidavit in the Kerala High Court on the alleged role of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Assembly Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan in the currency smuggling case.
The Party feels that this is a political plot aimed at defaming the LDF, its government and leaders at a time when the state is preparing for the assembly elections.
The Party strongly condemns such blatant misuse of central agencies by the government.
