Comrade Raja calls for massive protests for the ouster of Yogi Government
Comrade D. Raja, general secretary, CPI made his first priority to visit Sonbhadra in U.P. after taking over as General secretary of CPI. It was Sonbhadra where tribals were massacred by local landlords with the connivance of Yogi government. Since Yogi took over, fake encounters, communal riots, lynchings, hate speech and rousing communal passions have become the order of the day.
Comrade Raja lambasted the anarchy in the state of Uttar Pradesh and jungle Raj of Yogi.
He had given call to observe 9th August Kranti diwas as a massive protest day to demand ouster of Yogi government, adequate compensation to victims of Sonbhadra massacre, dismissal of the alleged BJP, MLA Sanger from U.P. legislature. He also demanded that proposed new education policy should be thoroughly reviewed. He further said that criminals roaming freely in U. P committing rapes, atrocities on women, Dalits, tribals and Muslims.
Before addressing the press, comrade Raja visited the village of victims in Sonbhadra. He personally enquired from the victims’ families about the sequence of events and the role of administration.
Com Raja was accompanied by Comrade Girish, state secretary CPI, U.P., Comrade Arvind, Dy. Secretary, Imtyaz former MLA and other leaders of CPI to the site.
Comrade Raja was welcomed warmly by U.P. leaders of CPI earlier in the morning on 3rd, August when he reached Varanasi Airport.
