CPI Condoles Death of Comrade Kolli Nageswara Rao
CPI General Secretary D. RAJA expresses his deep-felt condolences at the demise of Comrade Kolli Nageswara Rao, former secretariat member of Andhra Pradesh state council of CPI and a prominent leader of farmers. He breathed his last yesterday, on May 21, 2020, at Vijayawada and was of 84 years.
He came into active politics from his student days and was a prominent student leader as well as AP AISF state secretary. After working for some time in AIYF he decided to struggle for the well-being of the farmers and soon became an accepted leader of farmers and their premier body All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS). He was elected as the general secretary and later as the president of AIKS.
CPI former general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy who took over as AISF AP state secretary recalls his association with him and said that Comrade Rao was a great patriot and untiring fighter for justice. He will be remembered for ever for his successful fight in the Supreme Court against MNC Monsanto.
The Party pays its condolences to the bereaved family members, party leaderships of AP and Telangana.
