CPI Condoles Demise of Com. Manohar Taksal

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India issued today (on November 30, 2021) the following statement condoling the demise of former national council member and veteran freedom fighter Com. Manohar Taksal:
The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India expresses its heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Comrade Manohar Taksal a veteran Party, Trade Union and agricultural workers leader. He died today morning at Aurangabad at the age of 90.
His death is a big loss for the party and trade union and khet mazdoor movement of our country. He was also national council member of our party and assistant secretary of the Maharashtra State Council for six years. He played important role in mobilizing the workers and marginalized sections of our society for their just struggles.
He participated in freedom struggle against Nizam, for development of Marathwada for renaming the university of Marathwada in the name of Dr. Ambedkar and in many struggles of the agricultural labourers and trade unions. He was the convenor of ‘Dalit Atrocities Virodhi Action Committee’ formed by all Progressive Parties in Aurangabad.
As soon as the news reached national party headquarters Party general secretary D Raja contacted the State Party Secretary Com. Tukaram Bhasme and conveyed the party’s and his personal condolences. He also conveyed condolences to Com. Taksal’s family members.
