Observe September 14 as All India Protest Day: CPI

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India has issued today (on September 8, 2020) the following statement:

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India which had a virtual (ZOOM) meeting on September 7, 2020 took note of the fact that the economy is facing a serious crisis with the GDP contracting to an unprecedented level.

Among other things the Secretariat has decided the following campaigns:

1. September 14 – All India Protest Day

The Party has decided to organise a protest on September 14, 2020 – the day on which the Parliament is to meet. This is to highlight that the Indian economy is in ruins and democracy is in peril. It is to mobilise the people against the disastrous policies of the Modi government which have caused massive unemployment, poverty and loss of livelihood. This is to demand that the Finance Minister has no moral right to continue for her false claims and lies about economy.

Therefore, the Party must call upon to Save India for Livelihood, Equality and Justice for all.

2. October 2, 2020 – Gandhi Jayanti

At a time when RSS-BJP combine is aggressive in pushing their Hindu rashtra agenda, Gandhiji must be remembered highlighting secularism and plural democracy of our country.

Party must see all secular democratic forces come together to express our strong resolve to fight communal fascist forces. State units must organise functions and meetings in suitable manner on October 2, 2020 which is Gandhi’s birth anniversary.
