💜 A Man of the People
Comrade PKV was born on 2 March 1926 in Kidangoor, Kerala – from humble beginnings, he rose wearing the People’s colours! 🇮🇳 #PKV started activism in student unions in the 1940s, joined CPI in 1945, and even went underground during colonial crackdowns—showing early grit & #Courage.
✊ Four-Time MP & Kerala CM
He served as MP in 1957, 1962, 1967 and again in 2004 until 2005—making him a rare four-time mover! #LokSabha #MasterPolitician. In Oct 1978, PKV became Kerala’s 7th Chief Minister—but resigned in Oct 1979 to promote unity between CPI & CPI(M), paving the way for the Left Democratic Front (LDF). A rare move that showed his principle-over-position stance! #Sacrifice #Unity.
🌟 Simplicity in Style
People loved that PKV never chased power. Even as CM and CPI State Secretary (1982–1998), he wore simple clothes, lived modestly, and stayed accessible. An ardent #Communist with a soft heart—he was the essence of a people’s leader.

🎯 CPI Perspective
From a people‑first angle, Comrade PKV wasn’t just a politician—he was a movement. He didn't just hold office; he held the hopes of working class youth, farmers, students. In today’s world where power often turns corrupt, PKV reminds us that true leadership means sacrifice, solidarity & service, not self. He led by example—standing up for common people, uniting forces for social justice, and living simply. That’s the kind of political vision we need for peace, equality & from-the-ground-up change.
