The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India condoles the death of
Com. Kanam Rajendran, who was the National Council Secretary and also
Secretary of Kerala State Council of the Party. He was 73 and left behind his wife, a
daughter, a son and grandchildren.
He was not keeping well and was in hospital where he had a massive heart attack.
He spent all his life serving the people and Party. He was elected twice as member
of Kerala Legislative Assembly.
He worked tirelessly for the unity of the Left and for the success of the Left
Democratic government in Kerala.
His death is a great loss for the communist and progressive movement of the
country. He will forever be remembered for his dedicated service to people and the
communist movement.
