CPI Delegation led by D. Raja to Visit Manipur

A delegation of the Communist Party of India (CPI) will visit violence affected state of Manipur from 21st August to 24th August, 2023. The entire state of Manipur is in flames for more than 3 months now and inhabitants of the state are under great distress. The delegation will be led by D. Raja, Ex-MP & General Secretary of CPI. The delegation consists of Binoy Viswam, MP & National Secretary CPI, K. Narayana, National Secretary, CPI, Rama Krushna Panda National Secretary, CPI and Asomi Gogoi, Senior Women leader of CPI from Assam.

The delegation will reach Imphal on 21st of August, 2023 and will meet the victims of the violence unleashed in the state to share their grief. The delegation will also interact with all sections of society regarding the ongoing crisis and will make efforts for peacebuilding and restoration of normalcy in the state. The delegation will stay in Manipur till 24th of August and visit different areas and relief camps, both in the valley and hill areas. The delegation will also call on Manipur Hon’ble Governor Smt. Anusuiya Uikey to appraise her of the ground reality.

CPI leader Jan Neta Hijam Irabot’s contribution to the unity of Manipur remains unparalleled, the delegation will participate in the 75th Foundation Day meeting of the Party on 23rd August, 2023.
